Today's Nail of the Day look is 'Classy' by Revlon. This beaut was a bargain at only £1 and is such a lovely neutral for when you want something a little more than a beige. It's a creamy pale rose coral shade, perfect for spring/summer. I haven't worn this shade much since I bought it but the colour is becoming one of my favourites. Sadly, I think the formula lets this one down a bit - it's a little streaky and the Revlon brushes aren't my favourite - still it's bearable.

Rabbit Invasion

Late May saw my mum visiting from Australia so we did a lot of her favourite thing - shopping! To be honest I had a hard time keeping up but we had a great day in Bristol and before that in Exeter. I picked up a few purchases in Primark which I'll post shortly, but I wanted to show you my FAVOURITE pieces from the trip... these cushions! I can't remember which store we bought these in but they are in my local store too, and they're one of the only homeware pieces I've bought from Primark as I don't usually think much of what's on offer. This time was different. I mean, how can you resist these?! They're currently sat pride of place on my bed. Cushions aren't exactly functional but these sure are nice to look at.

shirt - topshop, trousers - topshop, bag - zara, shoes - zara

I saw these trousers on the Topshop website earlier and just LOVED them! Those flowers, that green, and the perfect shape right down to the ankles. The embellishment on the shirt is really pretty and the pastel pink slots right in with my favourite shades of the moment.

I've been trying to work more colour into my wardrobe as it's pretty dark - usually blacks, greys and maroons - and I'm getting there slowly with some bright patterned items. Lately I've been loving my bargain floral print blazer from one of the concessions at New Look, which I picked up for just £5. A fiver for a blazer? Can't go wrong! Then just last week I ended up with some printed trousers... more on those later. In fact, I'm pretty sure I wore them together at some point last week. Pattern overkill? Maybe, maybe not.

sweater love

Sweater of dreams. La la la.

It is SO cold at the moment. As I type this I'm nice and cosy indoors but pretty sure it's freezing outside. And this is why this sweater is one of my favourite items right now. Purchased in the sale at New Look, this little beauty was only a fiver. Can you believe?!

Usually I'd dismiss something like this as it has basically no shape, but I've started to give zero cares about whether something so practical is "flattering" or not. Or whether anything is really, because let's face it most things don't look that great on me. That's life. I'm cool with it. It's a nice change to be so casually carefree.

I fully plan on spending my weekend being happy, cosy and comfortable. And it'll probably involve me wearing this sweater at least once. A pretty sweet buy if you ask me.

Wake Up

Does anybody else find it impossible to blog when you aren't satisfied with how it looks? I can't be the only one, although it's not the only reason. The truth is that sometimes we're far too busy doing things to photograph them, and let's face it walls of text are usually pretty unappealing.

I haven't made any new years resolutions, they're not my thing, but here's to less thinking and more doing.
And less procrastinating. And a big 'yes' to making choices. Now, what colour should I paint my nails?!
